Bird Watching

Mesa, Arizona is a bird lover's paradise, and Bella Vista's Bird Watching Club takes full advantage of the incredible avian diversity found across the Sonoran Desert and beyond. Our enthusiastic group of birders gathers regularly for on-campus observation sessions as well as organized outings to local parks, nature preserves, and riparian habitats teeming with resident and migratory species. With binoculars in hand and a shared sense of wonder, members experience nature in one of its most rewarding and peaceful forms.

Bird watching is a scientifically supported activity for promoting mindfulness, reducing stress, and encouraging gentle outdoor exercise. It sharpens observational skills, stimulates curiosity, and connects participants to the natural world in a deeply satisfying way. At Bella Vista Senior Living, our Bird Watching Club has logged dozens of species sightings right from our own campus grounds.
